Half-day trip to the Fenner Wind Farm and Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.
The Fenner Renewable Energy Center provides public education on renewable energy and sustainable practices, and the wind farm was named a "Wonder of Central New York" in a local poll. Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, located above the picturesque village of Cazenovia, was one of the country's first outdoor sculpture parks. Its dual mission includes nature conservation and support for the arts. Depart 9 a.m., return by 2 p.m. $22 trip fee includes box lunch and admission to the park.

Half-day tour of Onondaga Creek. From its headwaters near the Onondaga Nation Territory, Onondaga creek runs northward through farmland, suburbs, and a diverse array of urban neighbor-hoods before entering Onondaga Lake. A tour of the creek offers insights into political and social issues, scenic views, geological curiosities, examples of best and worst water management and stream design practices, and rich lessons about community engagement in urban watersheds. Depart 9 a.m., return by 1 p.m. Trip fee $12, incl. box lunch.
