2nd Environmental Studies Summit @ Syracuse
The Summit will take place on BOTH the Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF campuses.
On Thursday, June 7, the pre-Summit workshop will be held in the Maxwell Public Events Room, Eggers 220, SU campus.
On Thursday, June 7 and Saturday, June 9, other Summit events, including the reception, registration, keynotes and sessions, will take place in Marshall Hall on the SUNY-ESF campus. The primary meeting room will be the Alumni Lounge in the basement of Marshall Hall. Marshall Hall is located on the south side of the ESF quad.
On Friday, June 8, all Summit events will take place on the Syracuse University campus. The primary meeting room will be Gifford Auditorium in Huntington Beard Crouse Hall (also H.B.C. Hall or H.B.Crouse Hall). H.B.C. Hall is located on the north side of the S.U. quad, close to Hendricks Chapel. Some breakout rooms will be in the Hall of Languages, and lunch will be in Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center.

PARKING:
Parking for Thursday and Friday will be in Irving garage, just west of the Carrier Dome. See directions below.) On Saturday and Sunday, parking passes will be available to park on the SUNY-ESF campus. If you are staying in the dorms and need overnight parking, information about where to park will be available shortly. If you are staying in a hotel and have a car, please arrange overnight parking with the hotel.
LOCATION OF DORMS AND HOTELS:
The Sheraton is on the university map, just across Waverly Ave from the main campus, opposite the Schine Student Center. The Parkview Hotel is just off the map to the northwest along E. Genesee St., not far from the Archbold Theater.
The main dorm for the Summit will be Walnut Hall, at the corner of Walnut and Marshall near the upper left corner of the university map. Before going to the dorm you need to check in and get keys at Shaw Hall, 775 Comstock (at the corner of Euclid and Comstock, in the upper right corner of the map). Check-in is available between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
Taxis are available at the airport. Reserve and pay at the information desk inside the airport. If you are staying at one of the conference hotels, they have complimentary shuttle service from the airport; just call the hotel when you arrive at the airport in Syracuse.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS (to Irving garage)
From Points East of Syracuse:
New York State Thruway (I-90) west to exit 36 for I-81 south.
I-81 south to exit 18 for East Adams Street (follow signs).
Turn left onto East Adams Street; proceed two blocks to Irving Avenue.
Turn right onto Irving Avenue. Follow Irving Avenue to the end.
Turn right on Raynor and right again on Stadium Place. The entrance to Irving Garage will be on your right. Tell the attendant you are with the Environmental Studies Summit.
From Points South of Syracuse:
I-81 north to exit 18 for East Adams Street.
Turn right onto East Adams Street at the end of the exit ramp.
Proceed two blocks to Irving Avenue.
Turn right onto Irving Avenue. Follow Irving Avenue to the end.
Turn right on Raynor and right again on Stadium Place. The entrance to Irving Garage will be on your right. Tell the attendant you are with the Environmental Studies Summit.
From Points West of Syracuse:

From I-81 north or south, take Adams St. east to the end.
Turn right on Ostrom.
At the first light, turn roght on Euclid.
Shaw Hall is on the right.
